Urban Planner: Rooftop Gardens

In this adventure, students will learn that a rooftop garden is a garden on the top of a building that enhances its appearance while providing ecological benefits such as food and temperature control. A local school has asked you, an urban planner, to design a roof­top garden that will provide fresh fruits and vegetables for the school lunch program while creating a relaxing space to study and socialize.
